Bellhop is a property broker that connects users, like you, with Third Party service providers who are able to provide you with the services that you seek. While Bellhop attempts to connect you with only high quality Third Party Providers, we cannot guarantee that all services will be completed without any items or other property being damaged. Because of this, we offer a complimentary coverage policy to all Bellhop customers.
Under Bellhop's standard damage protection policy, you may be eligible to recover from damages to your personal property at a rate of sixty (60) cents per pound. This amount is not tied to the repair or replacement cost but rather is tied to the weight of the item. This method of reimbursement is based on both state and federal standards and is common within the moving industry.
For structural issues, we offer the average cost to repair the localized damaged area, keeping the extent and severity in mind. Bellhop would not cover the costs to resurface/refinish the entire affected surface and doesn't guarantee an exact match with the surface's pre-move condition.
If you hire Bellhop for labor-only services, Bellhop's Damage Protection Policy comes with a maximum liability of $1,000.00. If you hire Bellhop for Lumper Services (a move with a truck and movers) or a long-distance service, the Damage Protection Policy has a maximum liability of $2,000.00.
