We may be able to move your live plants, with a couple of qualifiers:
- For local moves where it's a quick drive from the loading location to the unloading location, it's generally fine to load your live plants in the truck with your other items. However, we ask that you wrap the base of your plants in a plastic bag to prevent soil falling out, and double check that your plants are secured properly in the truck. Per our terms of service, we cannot be held liable for damages to live plants.
-
For long distance moves we cannot move live plants. This is for a few reasons:
- The plants will sit in a box truck (not climate controlled) often for several days while in transit, which is very likely to damage the plants.
- On a long journey, live plants create an opportunity for pests to make their way into the rest of the inventory.
- Some states prohibit or have limitations on bringing live plants into the state.
Please take note of the above guidance when considering whether and how to move your live plants.
