Our estimation process empowers Captains and Leads to make decisions and changes in the moment on move day, early in the move. Captains will walkthrough the customer's home to ensure move readiness and the number of rooms the customer requested to be moved is correct. If there are more rooms to move than expected, the Captain will discuss this with the customer. This will provide the customer an opportunity to make changes to the order at the beginning of the move.
We have to provide a level of leadership to our Captains to be able to work with customers on the ground while only contacting HQ Support when truly necessary. With this estimation tool we want to provide the customer and our Pros a tool that allows both parties to work together to accomplish one goal: to provide and give great service through Bellhop!
If a job does take longer than expected, Pros are expected to stay for the entirety of their submitted availability. For example, if the move was estimated from 8am-1pm and you submitted your availability from 8am-2pm, you are expected to stay until 2pm should the move run over.
